It’s Day 27 of the Change Challenge and today I’m looking at DECLUTTERING your life! What do I mean by this? It’s simple, sometimes we are trying really hard to get to another stage in our lives, reach and accomplish new goals but we have so much ancient baggage left hanging around that holds us back.
Today’s post is simple. It’s time for a clean up. You’re entering
It’s day 22 and today I’m looking at a key word that must go hand in hand with success and that word is RESULTS. Don’t you just love them? Results are like the weighing scale of your life. They never lie. You can Continue reading
Can you believe it’s day 20 of your Change Challenge already. Isn’t it amazing when you start a new project or long awaited life change that the time flies by so quickly? That’s why today’s topic is so important. Finishing!
Lack of finishing is probably the biggest defeater of dreams. The inability to see it through to the end is that silent monster called abortion, that lurks in the wings just waiting to slap the “Don’t bother to complete it” at you. Why is the monster silent? Because it seems to wait until you’ve gotten to the near end and just about to reach the finish line to start defeating you with improbability, doubt, fear and discouragement.
It’s day 19 and we’re well into making the necessary life changes we know we have to make before the New Year. By now you should have had some successes, failures and would have cemented a few new habits. CONGRATS!
Intentionality is the word for today. It doesn’t matter if you’ve started your challenge and failed a little. It doesn’t matter if you’ve felt defeated at times that you haven’t reached the goals you had set out to by this time. What matters is being intentional about whatever goals you’ve set out to reach.
In today’s world of so many choices we have so much at our fingertips. You can literally jump on the internet, purchase and download a product before the second eye blink.
We make conscious decisions on clothing, food, electronic devices and other gadgets. We know what we want, when we want it and how we’re going to get it.
With this in mind, I can’t help asking the question, if we have become so masterful at making choices on these things, why is it that we find it so difficult at times to put this same intention into making life choices?
Welcome to Day 16 of the 50 Day Change Challenge and it’s time to come to terms with the word SACRIFICE!
Have you ever heard of the saying “You have to give up to get up”? Well it’s kind of true in a sense. You see there’s no growth or success without sacrifice.
To be the change that you want to see, there has to be sacrifice. To get to where you desire to go can only happen if you give up the things that keep you stuck, stunted and limited.
There’s another part of sacrifice that is equally hard and that’s when you have to give up the things that are not necessarily harmful to you but are just not going to propel you into the next level of greatness that you were born for.
I grew up in the UK and I remember my childhood being plagued with the false notion of perfectionism. Be it perfect speech a.k.a The Queens English or the emaciated human temple of the models of that time, which were seen as perfect. No matter the medium, we were always being sent the message of perfectionism.
I believe this is one of the most damaging ills. Continue reading
Well I’m in Cuba on day 11 and my experiences so far have inspired me to write today’s post.
Limitations are formed out of our negative thoughts, actions and beliefs, resulting in a posture of self defeat and lack.
Limiting beliefs help to inform our speech and actions so we spout negative declarations such as “It can’t be done” or behave in a way that disqualifies us from ever reaching the finish line. Continue reading
It’s day 10 of the Change Challenge and I’m talking about the `Fear Factor’. I once heard an acronym for the word FEAR that I just think sums it up in a nutshell. False Evidence Appearing Real! Wow, what an accurate analogy of this word. I’ve often asked myself how can this tiny four letter word hold so much power?
I make no bones when I say that as a woman of faith, I have found no other way to address this crippling entity except through prayer and other more spiritual means. Whatever your beliefs or methods of dealing with fear, I’m sure you’ve experienced fear and you’ll agree that this potent emotion has caused you to stagnate in some area of your life at some time.
Why is fear so crippling? Continue reading
